Overview

(DIYODE November 2017)Utilises photoplethysmography sensing to detect blood flow and heart beating. This project is ideal for interfacing with Arduino projects requiring biometric monitoring. Although humans can hear the human heart beating, and can usually tell if it’s beating fast or slow, and can even count the beats against a clock, or at least a watch, there are a lot of inventors out there creating instruments like the Fitbit and it’s mates, to monitor the athlete’s heartbeat. So this project aims at explaining one method of creating an instrument to monitor your exercise.

Requires 1 x 9V battery (sold separately)
